Data Synchronization

The data synchronization system implemented by Carrefour is made possible by the incorporation of certain key components of the GS1 standards.

In their search for a solution allowing them to exchange and update product information, GS1 adherent companies have devised a standard data model (Trade Item) and exchange infrastructure: the GDSN® (Global Data Synchronisation Network) based on data pools.

Data Synchronization is based on two key components defined by the users:
- the GS1 Trade Item data model
- the network of GDSN® certified data pools.

CarrefourNet, the supplier portal of Carrefour group, aims at offering more transparency on the processes and tools used to exchange information between Carrefour and its business partners.
