eSourcing application with Carrefour Group

eSourcing objective is to optimize the upstream of the buying process by standardizing and automating as much as possible the research, selection and negotiation with suppliers. Carrefour's solution provides a user interface in 11 languages : English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese (traditional and simplified), Italian, Dutch, Polish and Turkish.
Buying through electronic auctions is an unavoidable standard of the Group which allows to a quick, transparent and fair decision.
This type of negotiation is used since 2000 (1000 users in 18 countries), with proven value added such as transparency in negotiation and formalization of buying processes.
Those negotiations are lead on products and services which can be compared and be substituted, with detailed specifications and precise rules of attribution.
Suppliers are selected and invited by Carrefour in accordance with our usual selection rules (quality, ethic, SME protection)
Beyond the auctions, eSourcing brings significant advantages: - Implication of the internal actors in the Request for Quotation : consolidation of the need and advance - Optimization of the negotiation : suppliers pre-selection and auctions - Capitalization of information : contract and data in one single data base
The RFQ (Request For Quotation) allows the evaluation of the market trend and the cycle of price qualification to select suppliers who will participate to the auction.
